Application: FC
Expression of CD69, a type II membrane protein of the C-type lectin superfamily, occurs early in activated B, T and natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, monocytes and granulocytes. In T cells, CD69 expression is induced in vitro by 1 h stimulation with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) or phyto-hemagglutinin (PHA), or 16 h stimulation with TNF-a. Anti-porcine CD69 antibody clone 01-22-44-102 is proving useful as a convenient early activation marker of porcine peripheral blood lymphocytes by flow cytometry following infection or vaccination.
