DHX9 is a member of the DEAH family of proteins, which possess a double-stranded RNA-binding domain (dsRBD) and a helicase domain. The DEAH protein family plays a critical role in RNA metabolism. DEAH family members function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases and regulation of transcription.
