ExoTrap™ Exosome Isolation Spin Column Kit for Protein Research
Spin column type exosome isolation kit
ExoTrap™ Exosome Isolation Spin Column immobilizes a human CD9 antibody known as an exosome marker on the spin column and extracts human serum, plasma, saliva, urine, culture supernatant from Western blot, mass spectrometry, etc. within 30 minutes. Exosome-derived proteins that can be used for protein research can be isolated .
Background
Exosomes are vesicles with a diameter of about 50 nm to 150 nm formed by a lipid bilayer membrane secreted from cells. In vivo, it is observed in body fluids such as saliva, blood, urine, amniotic fluid, and malignant ascites, and is also secreted from cultured cells. In recent years, it has been reported that exosomes contain various proteins and RNA, and it has been pointed out that exosomes may play a role in transmitting information between cells.
Features
- High-purity exosomes can be isolated from serum, plasma, urine, saliva, and culture supernatant (tested with human samples only) within 30 minutes.
- It is a familiar spin column type.
Experimental example by Western blot
After recovering exosome-derived proteins with 50uL of SDS sample buffer using ExoTrap™, the expression of exosome markers was confirmed by Western blotting.
