Confocal Science (CFS) : C-Tube LCDM
For growing large protein crystals by dialysis and diffusion
Features of C-Tube LCDM
- Avoid Protein Loss: Due to the Dialysis diffusion method, there is no protein loss during crystallization. Additionally, the osmotic pressure difference is small in C-Tube LCDM.
- Minimal amount of protein sample is necessary: Just 30uL of protein sample is required. If Vm is 2.2A3/D, 1 crystal of approximately 1.2mm3can be grown.
- Adjustable Crystallization conditions: The crystallization condition which suppresses nucleation probability can be selected considering the diffusino of protein and precipitant molecules in the solution. Please consult for any necessary technical assistance.
- Easy preparation : The gel-tube (gel in silicone tubing) is already attached to eh C-Tube LCDM.
- Long-term stability / Save space : The crystals grown in the cell are long-term stable. Crystalization experiments can be carried out in a small space by using the gel soaking bag and crystallization bag.
