The Subcutaneous White Adipocyte Culture Kit will be shipped after primary culture of white adipose precursor cells from the waistline subcutaneous adipose tissue, which is one type of subcutaneous fat, and proliferation to Semi-Confluent. Using this culture system, it is possible to conduct lipid metabolism experiments, sugar metabolism experiments, anti-obesity and diabetes drug screening, etc. in the absence of hormones.

Background

White adipose tissue is a place to store ingested energy, and can be divided into subcutaneous fat and perivisceral adipose tissue, which have different lipid metabolism mechanisms depending on the location. Subcutaneous adipose tissue has low reactivity to hormones such as catecholamines, and adrenaline, noradrenaline, and various other factors are thought to be involved in the decomposition of subcutaneous fat.

Intended use

This culture kit is shipped after primary culture of white adipose precursor cells from waistline subcutaneous adipose tissue, which is one type of subcutaneous fat, and proliferation to Semi-Confluent. Please use it immediately after receiving the product. Primary cultured cells at the time of arrival, or cells subcultured in an appropriate culture dish or multiplate are cultured according to the culture method, and gradually differentiate into white adipocytes.

Lipid metabolism experiments, sugar metabolism experiments, and anti-obesity/diabetic drug screening can be performed in the absence of hormones.

Composition

Cultured Cells : These cells are delivered in culture vessels (adherent cells or suspension cells). Since it cannot be stored in that state, please take it out immediately after delivery and immediately start culturing in a CO2 incubator.
Frozen Cells : The cells are shipped frozen in dry ice packaging. You can take it out immediately after delivery and start culturing immediately, or you can freeze it at the temperature specified in the instruction manual.
