Tetramers

Cosmo Bio USA proudly distributes MHC tetramer products from MBL (Medical & Biological Laboratories Co., Ltd.), a global pioneer in immunological reagents with over 50 years of innovation. MBL was among the first to commercialize MHC tetramers for research use, offering scientists highly stable complexes for sensitive detection of antigen-specific T cells via flow cytometry. Their tetramers are assembled from biotinylated MHC-peptide monomers and fluorochrome-conjugated streptavidin, ensuring reliable performance across applications. A standout innovation is MBL’s patented A245V mutation in the α3 domain of human and macaque MHC class I molecules, which significantly reduces non-specific CD8 binding while preserving TCR interaction—resulting in enhanced staining specificity.
