Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (bFGF) is responsible for cell survival and cell proliferation activities. This growth factor is used extensively in cell differentiation pathways as a critical component in stem cell culture to maintain cells in an undifferentiated state or promote differentiation into germline cells when used with other growth factors. bFGF is used extensively in immunology, cell therapy differentiation, regenerative medicine, wound healing, and disease modeling applications.
