Cytoplasmic dynein is a motor protein that plays an essential role in the development and normal function of the mammal nervous system. Dynein is related to transport of substances and determination of cell polarity interacting with microtubules, but there are still unknown functions because it forms complicated complexes and its molecular weight is big. Recently its P-loop, an ATP binding site, was identified. This P-loop was elucidated to play an important role in hydrolysis of ATP that produces energy for the motor driving of dynein. This antibody was produced using the highest antigenicity site as an antigen peptide. This antibody is useful to investigate its effect of motor functions and its localization.
