LDL Receptor-Related Protein (LRP1, CD91)1) is a high-affinity endocytic receptor for myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG)2) that binds to ligands and exhibits signaling properties3) and is known to play diverse roles in lipoprotein metabolism, protease degradation, lysosomal enzyme activation, and cellular entry of bacterial toxins and viruses4) .
CD91 (LRP1) has been shown to be a potential NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer) exosome marker5) . Expression of CD91 (LRP1) is associated with improved outcome in lung cancer6) and agonists promote regeneration after spinal cord injury7).
